PNCIS Presentations

Welcome to the Pittsburgh Neighborhood & Community Information System!

The Pittsburgh Neighborhood and Community Information System (PNCIS) is a property information system that collects integrated information on community conditions, and provides it to local stakeholders. The PNCIS empowers community leaders through the regular, direct use of information on a wide array of topics and issues.

The PNCIS integrates over 50 key address-level indicators from multiple data sources to provide a dynamic view of neighborhood conditions.

Consistent data for all neighborhoods is available to all participating organizations, and the PNCIS provides one point of contact for users and data providers.

By coordinating all data collection and data processing, participating organizations are able to spend their time analyzing information, not gathering it.

The project’s Website provides data and an interactive map to its users. PPND has entered into data sharing agreements with the City of Pittsburgh and the Urban Redevelopment Authority guaranteeing continued access to information by PNCIS users.

In order to access the Website, organizations must contact the PNCIS team to request access, and attend an upcoming training session. In support of the City of Pittsburgh’s community development efforts, several training sessions for new users will be offered this summer.
